Each choir headed by master Gregorc achieved an exceptional quality that was easily recognized at the largest choir events. He arranged a number of folk songs for choirs, and composed many songs himself. Jože Gregorc was head of the music school, the Glasbena Matica music society, the Ptuj Theater, the Maribor Philharmonic, lectured at the music academy, and above all, he was a cheerful, popular man and musician who shared his knowledge and experience with all who would listen. He was also a regular guest of the Mitra Hotel.
